5 Keys to Abundance

Dear Jane,

I am sick of running out of money before the end of the month. Other people seem to know something I don’t about creating abundance. What’s the secret?

I heard a shocking statistic on Oprah once: Over 70% of people who experience a financial windfall from such strokes of luck as winning the lottery or inheriting a large sum of money tend to be back to where they were financially within just a few short years.

Most of us think this would never happen to us. Our thoughts probably run along the lines of, “If I won a million, two million, ten million dollars [take your pick], it would change my life forever. All my worries would be gone. I’d be happy.”

How can it be that what seems like an inevitable happy ending just doesn’t turn out to be true for such a large majority of people? Are those who come serendipitously into wealth dumber than we are? Are they all spendaholics, compulsive gamblers, inept business people, or at the very least so codependent that they can’t say “no” to family and friends who ask for handouts?

It’s true that many of us who are not used to handling large sums of money are inept with it. It’s also true that a lot of us are codependent enough to fall prey to wanting to be loved by giving everything we have. If we’re already doing that, we’ll probably do it more, not less, if given half a chance. And if some of us aren’t spendaholics now, like kids in a candy store, we certainly might become crazed with buying the first time we have a wad of cash in our hands. But even these shortcomings and lapses in judgment don’t explain the expected fate of 70% of us who would end up no better—and possibly worse emotionally due to shame—than before our sudden wealth.

Many of us don’t budget at all, claiming that there isn’t enough money to do so. We pretend we aren’t choosing to use up our available resources with the argument (while our debts mount), “I work hard for my money. I should get to enjoy it.” We fall deeper and deeper into debt, feel incredible stress, depression, and shame, and wind up having to work harder and longer. And still we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot arguing that we deserve to spend our money any way we want to. We treat ourselves like entitled brats, demanding that reality fit our fantasy. But underneath this façade of entitlement, we are deluded by what I call The Big Lie. More about that in a moment.

There is no one roadmap to creating abundance, just as there is no single roadmap to creating a loving relationship. To find a relationship, you can date online, join a club, hang out at your favorite pub, buy a dog, or ask friends to set you up. To make more money, you can find a better-paying job, go back to school, learn a new skill, ask for a raise, gamble, or play the lottery. Getting isn’t the biggest problem for most of us, whether it’s a relationship or money; the trick is to learn how to keep and build upon what we get.

Until we open up to abundance and become “spiritually fit” to receive, the truth is that we are just as likely to deplete our treasure chest the same way our neighbors do and just as likely to find ourselves continually short on cash and long on debt. So here are five keys to building, maintaining, and enjoying abundance:

1. Embrace the true meaning of abundance: Abundance is that which already exists. In an abundant state, we understand that we are dipping into an overflowing well. Abundance is everywhere. Equally, it is within us. We are abundant. We don’t have to seek abundance. We can say yes or no to this belief. It is up to us.

2. Stop using the world as a reflection of your worthiness: The Big Lie I mentioned earlier is the belief that we are unworthy. Most of us decide base our worthiness on outside barometers such as who likes us, what kind of house or car we have, how much money we make, how much education we have, or what clothes we wear. As long as we measure our worth based on outside factors, we our happiness is at the whim of others.

3. Practice worthiness as though it’s a skill: While some of us were born believing we were worthy, life experiences may have convinced us otherwise. To retrain our thoughts, we must change our behaviors. Ask yourself what you would be doing differently right now, today, tomorrow, next week, this year if you already believed you were entirely worthy. What behaviors and activities would you stop? Which ones would you start? Make a commitment to yourself to “fake it ’til you make it.” Practice your new behaviors until they become second nature, replacing the old habits you are shedding. Change your actions and your thoughts are sure to follow.

4. Recognize what your jealousy is telling you: Jealousy is what we experience when we don’t believe we will have (or deserve to have) what someone else has. Therefore, jealousy comes from a belief in lack. If we put the first three keys into active practice, our jealousy will dissolve into gratitude for that which already exists. Gratitude doesn’t mean that we become complacent. It means that we strive, not from fear and lack, but from the joy of thriving.

5. Be generous now: If you wait until you “have enough,” whatever that means to you, the message you are telling yourself is that there is lack within and around you. Abundance thinking is a leap of faith for many of us. Faith, by definition, is only validated once we have made the leap. My friend had promised to tithe to his church and then “cheated” because he was broke. One day of scarcity led to the next until he woke up one day and realized that he was not trusting abundance (or God) at all. He was waiting for proof. How could waiting for proof be an act of faith? That day he took a deep breath and emptied the change from his pockets into the church’s coffers. Immediately he felt the peace that goes along with keeping an agreement with oneself, no matter how difficult it is. He also felt strength in choosing to decide to have faith. Almost immediately, his phone began ringing off the hook with work offers. For him, this was wonderful evidence. But even more lovely, he didn’t even need the evidence at that point. Since he already trusted, he was less fearful about the ups and downs of business and felt more relaxed about experiencing abundance however it presented itself.

Will you get rich by practicing these five keys? Nobody knows what the Universe has in store for us. But you can begin to define rich in new ways that give you appreciation for the abundance that already exists. You are already a wealth of knowledge, support, energy, artistry, compassion, and ideas. How can you maximize and share your abundant wealth today?

Thoughts on Abundance for Personal Empowerment

May 26, 2009 by Zimmaron

Abundance resonates with creativity and living from the overflow and knowing there is enough. It is a consciousness in which no fear exists. Abundance relates to self-esteem, prosperity, health, time, relationships, career, nature, money, vacations, rest, work, sexuality, laughter, confidence. Everything!!!

Abundance: What it is; What it isn’tHere’s a concept that is the basis of many of my thoughts and practices about abundance: Abundance and money are not the same. Nor is either the same as prosperity. We can learn about abundance using money as a vehicle, but the two are not synonymous. I believe that if we all unhook from the belief that money and prosperity and abundance are the same, we will experience more of all three! Each of us has a right to be inundated with all three, if that is our desire.

Someone can have lots of money, yet live in poverty consciousness. Someone can easily meet financial commitments, yet feel sadly lacking in confidence or friends or competence or joy. We can use anything to experience abundance: dead leaves in the forest, the ocean, food, mountains, paper, trust, money, confidence, skills, anything! Abundance is about unlimited consciousness, not physical things. The consciousness of abundance creates those things.

About an Over-arching IntentionI advocate identifying an intention for all new explorations and ventures. Intention is the energy or consciousness from which actions emerge. An over-arching intention is a broad intention that can guide your vision and direction. Here are a few suggestions for statements of intention about the theme of Abundance:

To live in the constant realization that all my needs are met.

I realize that I manifest from Spirit, not from the physical.

To know in each moment that I create my life from the abundance of the universe.

I know that all my needs are met.

About a Challenge

I challenge you in this way: Stop yourself from affirming your lack or your lack consciousness. Make it into a game. The more anti-abundance thoughts you catch and stop, the better. Listen to the words you say out loud as well as to the thoughts you keep in your head. Here are a few examples of common expressions that affirm lack, limitation, or poverty:

I (We) don’t have any (or enough) money / time / skills.

I (We) can’t afford that.

I’m no good. I’m not enough.

I’m afraid I (we) won’t have enough money.

I worry about money / time / job / someone else / myself.

I can’t ever seem to get ahead.

I’m depressed / powerless / a victim.

You get the idea. And, of course, there are many variations on not-enough expressions. In fact, such expressions are in too great an abundance! These emerge from a strongly held belief in limitation. Individuals have colluded with each other to continue to perpetuate this belief. Incidentally, if you try to prove that your belief in limitation or lack is justified, then you are arguing for limitations. You have a right to do this, but I think it’s important that you know the consequences: your arguments — especially vehement arguments — about limitations create the experiences that manifest further limitations.

So, here are a few alternative expressions to help you to transition out of the not-enough-money cycle:

I choose to spend my money on something else.

I know that all my needs are met.

I am fed by the Divine.

I love money.

Here is a vacuum created to be filled with money.

I open a space so that money can flow in.

And some alternatives on non-money lack belief:

I have all I need.

I have all the ______ I need / want / desire / choose.

I am powerful.

I am joyful / happy / peaceful.

I am in charge of my life.

My thoughts produce my experiences.

About another ChallengeMany people stay in a consciousness of lack, limitation, depression, or victim because of telling and retelling and retelling yet again the same same same story. It’s a bit like memorizing a script and spewing out the words when the right cue comes along. If you have a depressing or disempowering story that you tell repeatedly, identify it. And then select one of the following suggestions to come to closure on it. Each retelling locks the thoughts in more deeply, creating more of the same experiences.

Resolve to tell it one more time. This time, tell it to someone who agrees to listen to you with 100% of his or her attention, without judgments or sympathy or advice or suggestions for resolution. Deep listening is the greatest gift we can give each other. The philosophy behind this suggestion is that you are more likely to give up this story if you feel someone you trust has heard you deeply. Move forward with your life.

An alternative to the above is to act out the depressing or disempowering story either alone or with a trusted audience. Exaggerate all the points of the story so that it is so big and out of proportion that the memory fades from a barrier in your life to a small speck that can be flicked away. Move forward with your life.

Understand that each retelling is an opportunity for you to learn something new. Watch for the learning. If there is no new learning, consider that you are complete. Move forward with your life.

Write an article, letter, or journal entry about it. (Note: that says “write” not “publish.” Let this be the last — unless, of course, you want to keep manifesting the story. Move forward with your life.

Let the past be the past. Live in the present. It is in the present moment that you are creating your future. The fullness of time is in the present moment – now that is abundance!

How to Create Abundance in your Life

May 16, 2009 by Zimmaron

The reason so many people in society are unable to achieve abundance in their lives is purely because of their mindsets. That’s right, it’s not their salary or their heritage, it is all to do with their own thoughts and feelings. Stop worrying about what everyone else has and does and start focusing on what you want to attract into your own life and it will pay off.

To change anything about yourself or your life, you first need to have a clear view of where you are actually at with your thinking. Often thoughts are on autopilot and you aren’t even aware of the negative beliefs and habits you have going on in your mind. This will take time, but you need to start to look from the outside and catch yourself out when you are thinking something negative.

Why you may ask? What is the point of not thinking negatively when everything is so negative in your life and all around you? Well, if that is what you believe then there is no wonder that is the case! This is where the laws of attraction come into play. Quantum physicists, scientists, academics and the spiritually aware are fast becoming ambassadors for the theory from all over the globe. There are many sayings around today like “Change your thoughts, change your life!”, “Like attracts like” or “What you put out you get back”.

How can your mind have an impact on the things, experiences and people in your lives? The rule of attraction can take books to fully theorize and explain, but it can be put in a relatively simple way. Basically, your thoughts impact your vibration, which, in turn, determines what you will attract in your life. If you are down in the dumps and thinking negative things about your life, then more negative experiences will come your way. If you have deep set beliefs that you aren’t worth a promotion, you will never get one. You are like a big magnet that draws whatever it is focused on towards it.

The thing with abundance is the totally incorrect belief so many people have that there is not enough to go around for everybody. Around 90% of the wealth in the world is spread amongst 5% of the people, and you can bet those 5% know all about the laws of attraction! It is impossible to live a life of abundance without living by the law.

You can’t just decide overnight that you are going to start thinking only positive thoughts and change your life around in an instant. The problem is that most of your beliefs have been instilled in your subconscious from a very young age. There could be any number of thoughts holding you back in your life, like maybe you really believe women aren’t as capable as men? You will never succeed or be promoted above a man if you believe this. People who are constantly scared of getting the next bill, fearing they won’t have enough money to scrape by will only succeed in attracting more hard times. If you think there is no such thing as a perfect match for you, there never will be.

But how is that possible when you only think about how much you **** bills, not how much you love them? It doesn’t matter what emotion is attached to the thoughts, if you are focusing on something, you will attract it. It doesn’t matter how much you are pushing something away, if it’s on your mind it will be in your life. When you decide to change your life by changing your thoughts, and slowly, piece by piece, re-program your mind to have anew set of thinking habits and beliefs, you will be able to tap into more and more abundance. What better reason could you ever want to stop dwelling on the bad things in your life and focus more on the good?

The more you think about and experience positive things, the more you will get of the same. The steps you put in place to create a positive life experience will have a never-ending flow of abundance and joy coming your way. Spend some time every day meditating on your vision of what you want to attract into your life.

Try and visualize all day every day that every thought you have is lodging itself in your energy field looking for something identical to latch onto. You think something hateful about someone, it lodges there until it has attracted another similar experience. The only way you can break the cycle is to break your thinking. When something bad happens or a challenge comes your way, look on the bright side at what you have learned. Be thankful for everything and you will only have more to be thankful for.

Don’t waste any time or energy being envious about what others have and what they have created in their own lives. Why? Because this will only bring more experiences of envy your way! You are really starting to get it now and you should be feeling excited! Some even consider this to be a secret, but if you truly believe there is enough for everyone, you won’t have any problem sharing the law.

The first step for you to take now you have read this is to decide what you really want in your life. Making a manifestation chart is a fantastic way to do this. You simply go through magazines and books, cutting out anything you see as something that you would like to bring into your life. Try to cover every area of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Stick them in a collage style on some cardboard and hang it up somewhere where you can see it every day. This will be a constant reminder of what you need to focus on to attract it to you. Take the time to learn about affirmations, as they too can impact your vibration in significant ways.

Remember to continuously stay aware of your thinking, and when you catch yourself being negative, turn the situation around by seeing the positive. The more you do to create good in your life, the more abundance will flow your way. There is more than enough for everyone in this world, so let go of the belief that it has to be a fight and tap into the ocean of plenty for everyone!

Struggling for More Abundance? Here’s the Hidden Secrets to Success!

May 15, 2009 by Zimmaron

Copyright (c) 2008 Stephanie McWilliams

Some people seem to have it all, experiencing lives more abundant than our wildest dreams, while the rest of us try again and again, only to be left frustrated, exhausted and confused. What’s the hidden magic that makes some people abundant, while others are not? It all boils down to the eight secret steps below that can lead anyone to the success they desire. Once you understand your own abundance blueprint, you too will begin to manifest your very own miracles!

1. ASSUME THAT EVERYTHING IS FOR YOUR HIGHEST GOOD

At this point in my life, I automatically assume that the world is kind. I assume that someone far smarter than I has choreographed my challenges, worries, triumphs, joys, sorrows, and all the rest. To me, life is far too magically complex to simply be random movement of atoms and energy. Through all the good and all the bad in my life, I’ve learned the most amazing things – things I wouldn’t trade for the world. Now, even in the midst of challenging situations, I know that life’s got my back.

2. EXPECT SUPPORT FROM THE UNIVERSE

“Ask and It Is Given” is an amazing book, and an even more amazing statement in itself. So often we’ve forgotten to expect support. Usually we’re wanting support, but rarely, rarely are we expecting it. When we expect something to be done, it’s as if it already is. Someone who expects good things in life often gets it. And have you notice that those who expect the worst usually get that too? Good Ol’ Donald Trump EXPECTS to be rich. He doesn’t hope for it, he demands it of the Universe. No matter if he loses billions of dollars, he gains it right back. Life is simply an outer manifestation of our internal expectations.

3. BE OPEN TO THE SIGNS

When the world hands you a coincidence, stop and say “thank you!” I see coincidences as winks from the Universe, helping confirm that we’re on the right track. When opportunities line up perfectly, situations mystically converge, opportunities fall in your lap, or you simply find a penny on the ground, embrace them without hesitation.

4. DON’T WANT FOR ANYTHING

Most people, no matter how many manifesting books they read, are still longing for things. The “want” for money, abundance, love, health or happiness is merely that… a want. And voilá, that’s what we get: the opportunity to long for something yet not get it. When we think about what we want, or talk about what we want, the world hears “Please let me want for X-Y-Z”. The most challenging aspect of manifesting is to be in the state of already having what you want. Evoking the emotions you would feel once your desired goal is attained is the real key to generating your desires.

5. BE GRATEFUL

The state of gratitude is like having your arms wide open to receive all of life’s bounty. When we’re not in the state of gratitude, it’s like walking through life with your fists clenched and your body contracted. Check in to your emotional and physical positions throughout the day. Are you feeling open to everything around you, or are you guarded, grumpy, cynical or sad? If you are frustrated by your current situation or surroundings, make a choice to see only the good, even if just for 2 minutes each morning. Jotting down things in your life that you’re grateful for, no matter how small, helps you to open to life’s abundance. As we all know, what we think about most, we bring about!

6. CLEAN UP YOUR INTERNAL ACT

Why don’t we all have what we want in life? It’s usually because we have beliefs in the way that are generating more of what we’re not wanting, and less of what we are. No matter how much manifesting work we do, if those beliefs are still in place, they will subconsciously be running your life’s ship without you ever being the wiser. Cleaning up these underlying beliefs can be challenging for most.

As you travel further down the path of cleaning up your home, body and thinking, the work of Byron Katie can be the most amazing gift (www.thework.com). This process is the way I continue working on my own limiting beliefs. The less that stands in our way of believing we deserve a wonderful life, the more we can allow in.

7. FOLLOW YOUR HEART

When you choose to spend time with things that bring you great passion and interest, your emotional body resonates on a very different level. Those who follow their bliss, choose careers that bring joy, spend time with people who delight them, watch movies that lift their spirits, and read books that inspired excitement often draw in more abundant situations. If you make choices out of fear, life will give those types of situations or frustrations right back to you. And if you instead take risks to open your heart, mind and spirit, you will, worst-case, get a life of fulfillment, surprise and joy. Look inside to all your underlying motivations and shine a light on them so that you might make a different decision tomorrow. Awareness is the key.

8. TAKE ACTION

When we realize what we desire, and begin to align ourselves with these goals, the next step is action. And often times this is the step that trips us all up. When I had manifested my T.V. show “Fun Shui” and had met my producer, I got scared. REALLY scared. And I began sabotaging the opportunity out of fear. But luckily I came to my senses in the nick of time, stood up bravely, and took action. I moved into some of my deepest life fears, I pushed through limiting beliefs, and I did things I’d never done before…

We can’t stop with just meditation, gratitude, and cleaning up our thinking. We also must take action, and step up to the plate when life hands us miraculous situations or circumstances. Don’t let a great thing pass YOU by!

Means to Attract Abundance – 4 Abundance Attractors you Need to Know

April 6, 2009 by Zimmaron

What are the most effective means to attract abundance? In this article, you will discover great methods to eliminate lack or scarcity from your daily routines. You have the ability to live your life the way you’ve always dreamed it to be, if you know how. Just follow the 4 means to attract abundance below and you can begin experiencing massive changes in your life.

First Means to Attract Abundance

Be grateful for what you have right now. Whatever it is that brings you joy right now or equips you to face the day like good health, family, friends, your job, or anything else, acknowledge it and be grateful. Write down all the things you feel grateful for. Do not stop until you feel you have exhausted your list. You might be surprised at just how much you actually already have right now.

This does not mean that you are to be contented by what you have right now and not desire for more. But feeling grateful will make you feel good and make you easily draw in more of the good things that are in your life right now, as well as better things.

Second Means to Attract Abundance

Believe that the universe is overflowing with great abundance. Yes, everything that you need, everything that you desire – the universe can give you, if only you believe. And not only to you, but to anyone who would just believe. In truth, the universe has more than enough supply for everyone to live abundantly. But because we believe or were led to believe that lack, scarcity, or even poverty is normal in life, this is what we get. If we refuse to limit ourselves and believe that health, beauty, wealth, copiousness, and all the good things in life to happen to us, we will truly live in abundance.

Third Means to Attract Abundance

Think and act abundant! Tell yourself everyday that you are living in abundance, right here, right now. And act accordingly.

For example, you can make daily affirmations like “I live in total abundance” or something more specific like “I am now happily enjoying, investing, and sharing my one million dollars.”

Do this everyday and you will soon draw people, things, situations and specific opportunities that will bring you abundance.

Fourth Means to Attract Abundance

Share. Abundance is a flow of energy. Once it reaches you, don’t just keep it to yourself – share it to keep it flowing. Keeping it to yourself will only prevent it from flowing freely – and, flowing back to you.

Give more of yourself and your wealth to others. Volunteer for a cause. Donate to your church or a charity. Or simply be there for people. Be ready to offer a smile or any kind of help to people who might need it. And the universe will respond and give you more.

These means to attract abundance are simply just ways of changing your mindset and preconceived notions so that you can begin to live in abundance you may have only imagined previously.

Deep Abundance

February 16, 2009 by Zimmaron

Dear Jane,

I’ve read your article about abundance but I still don’t have enough money to get me through the month. I lie awake at night worrying. What can I do?

I’ve shared in the past a definition of abundance that resonates strongly with me: “Abundance is that which already exists.” I realize from personal experience as well as from listening to my clients that it is sometimes a stretch to believe this. How can abundance already exist if your bank account is low, your credit card debt is high, and you can’t afford to take even a weekend off?

Here’s what I have come to realize: If we think that money or lack of it reflects our abundance, we are making a huge error. Abundance isn’t about money unless we see it that way. Money only has as much meaning as we attach to it.

When you feel lack, it is because you think you are lacking within. You are believing the Big Lie: that you are in some way unworthy. Money or lack of it simply reflects this belief because you allow it to.

If you allow yourself to believe The Big Lie—that you are unworthy—you may create debt to reinforce your belief. And debt will give you an excuse to hang out surviving rather than thriving. If you don’t believe you deserve to thrive, you will not let yourself to what you really want in life. What better way to hold yourself back than by mounting up debt, feeling lack, worrying, spending too much, or making poor financial choices?

Abundance is that which already exists because we are abundant within ourselves—our creativity, our capacity to love and feel compassion, our humor and joy. We don’t get abundance from the outside in. We express our abundance from the inside out.

When you are willing to believe you are worthy, you will call upon your inner abundant resources. You will stop being afraid of failing. You will live your best life. You will share yourself even more. You will feel enRICHed regardless of your financial circumstances. You will understand that abundance is that which already exists.

Eft With the Law of Attraction to Allow the Feeling of Abundance

January 29, 2009 by Zimmaron

EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques (often referred to as tapping) can be a great aid in getting to the feeling you want so that the Law of Attraction can work for you.  Tapping was developed by Gary Craig and is based upon ancient Eastern healing traditions.

We will not cover the entire history of or rationale for EFT here.  Suffice it to say that the body consists of energy fields and in a well functioning (spiritually, emotionally and physically) body there is a natural and unrestricted flow of energy in, around and through the body.  The energy flows along paths called meridians.  When the energy flow is obstructed for any reason, any number or combination of maladies may occur.  Acupuncture used needles inserted at key points along the meridians to help release energy blockages.  Tapping uses the fingers of one hand tapping gently on key meridian points while speaking focusing, framing and releasing phrases to re-orient, release and refresh the energy flow through the body.

There are many great online sources for detailed information about EFT and how and why it works.  The success stories are too numerous to mention.

When trying to allow a feeling of abundance into our lives as a precursor to living an abundant life, which is the proper sequence if we are to allow the Law of Attraction to work properly, we often find ourselves blocked.  Our left-brain chatterbox voice continually kicks in and reminds us of what we don’t have, how much is lacking, why abundance is bad or selfish or simply not for us.  We get stuck in a frustrating loop of, on the one hand, desiring abundance while, on the other hand, sending out a message of lack of abundance to the Universe.  This is just old beliefs and stuck energy at work…and is exactly what EFT is great for releasing.

What follows is a short tapping sequence to help release the energy blocks and to allow the feeling of abundance to flow freely.  In using the following script, and without going into the details of how to do EFT, the tapping points are noted in parentheses.  You should tap these points while speaking the phrases shown out loud.  Speaking out loud and with emotion do improve the effectiveness of the technique.

One other disclaimer here; I am not a medical doctor nor a trained practitioner (there no longer exist any formal EFT certifications); results will vary by individual (although I believe that EFT always helps-and it cannot hurt); the specific ways in which EFT is employed vary widely, and all have been shown to be effective.  Approach this with a spirit of joy, fun, gratitude and expectation.

The tapping points are (and it doesn’t matter which side of the body you do these on): Side of hand – The karate chop point; Eyebrow Point – End of the eyebrow closest to your nose; Side of Eye – The corner of your eye, on the bone of the socket away from your nose; Under the Eye – Directly under the eye on the bone of the orbit; Under the Nose – Directly under the nose, above your lip roughly at the level of the top of your teeth;  Under the Mouth – The cleft between your mouth and chin directly below your mouth; Collarbone – There is some variance here, I prefer tapping directly below the chin on the point where the two ends of the collarbone join; Under the Arm – Directly below the armpit approximately four inches down; Top of the Head – Directly on the crown of the head and tap in a small circle.  The tapping should be hard enough to feel but not so hard as to cause pain.

With that as background, we can try a tapping sequence to help our energy flow around the feeling of abundance.

(Side of the Hand)-Even though I can’t seem to feel abundant,

-I deeply love and respect myself.

-Even though I can’t seem to feel abundant,

-I deeply love and forgive myself.

-Even though I can’t seem to feel abundant,

-I just can’t let go of the feeling of lack,

-I can’t stop worrying about my bills,

-I can’t stop thinking about what I don’t have,

-Every time I look at my bank balance it gets worse,

-I worry about having enough food,

-I worry about having enough money,

-I worry about being taken advantage of,

-I worry about losing everything that I have,

-And even though I want abundance,

-I want abundance in all areas,

-I am afraid that I am sabotaging my abundance,

-With all my worries,

-And so,

-Even though I can’t seem to feel abundant,

-I deeply love, respect and forgive myself,

-And anyone and anything that may be contributing to this.

-

(Eyebrow Point)-I can’t seem to feel abundant,

(Side of the Eye)-I can’t seem to feel abundant,

(Under the Eye)-I can’t seem to feel abundant,

(Under the Nose)-It’s not just that I can’t feel abundant,

(Under the Mouth)-I am not abundant,

(CollarBone Point)-And that worries me,

(Under the Arm)-I want to be abundant,

(Top of the Head)-But I can’t feel abundant.

-

(Eyebrow Point)-I have to get the feeling before I can get the thing,

(Side of the Eye)-The Law of Attraction says that,

(Under the Eye)-So I have to feel abundant,

(Under the Nose)-And I just can’t.

(Under the Mouth)-I can’t feel abundance,

(CollarBone Point)-Because I can’t get past all my worries,

(Under the Arm)-And my worries are legitimate,

(Top of the Head)-Just look at the checkbook.

-

(Eyebrow Point)-But, maybe I am overreacting, just a little,

(Side of the Eye)-I do have a lot of things,

(Under the Eye)-In a lot of the world, I would be viewed as a king or queen,

(Under the Nose)-Sure times are tough now,

(Under the Mouth)-But they have been tough before,

(CollarBone Point)-And I have survived,

(Under the Arm)-And even if they seem worse this time,

(Top of the Head)-I’ll probably survive this too.

-

(Eyebrow Point)-Maybe I can just be grateful for the little things,

(Side of the Eye)-And there are still a lot of little things to be grateful for,

(Under the Eye)-Maybe I even have an abundance of little things,

(Under the Nose)-So I can be grateful for that abundance,

(Under the Mouth)-I can be abundant in little things,

(CollarBone Point)-And once I am abundant in little things,

(Under the Arm)-I’ll bet I start seeing bigger things.

(Top of the Head)-And then I can get to the feeling of abundance.

-

(Eyebrow Point)-I am breathing and my body is working, at least a little,

(Side of the Eye)-And I have a computer, or access to one,

(Under the Eye)-My brain is working,

(Under the Nose)-I do know what I want, and what I don’t want,

(Under the Mouth)-I want to feel abundant,

(CollarBone Point)-And I can feel abundant, because I am,

(Under the Arm)-I am abundant in the most important ways right now,

(Top of the Head)-I accept my abundance with joy and gratitude.

-

-Take a deep breath.

Now, hopefully that helps, at least a little.  Feel free to do it again.  Play with the words.  Make it fun.  Tap and tap and tap your way to abundance and true allowing.

Steps to Creating Wealth and Abundance in our Lives

Creating success in your own life is sometimes a journey that begins with the gentle realization that you want to begin to focus more on your own potential and well-being. In other cases, it hits us like a bolt of lightening and we unmistakably hear the thunderous message as we reconnect with that inner Source of all that is Good. Eric Butterworth, in his book Spiritual Economics, explains this sense of Jesus’ attunement to the creative flow of universal abundance when he puts it very simply, “Seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.” (Mt. 6″33)

Some simple, but profound steps are required in order to attain the ability to claim that wealth and live in abundance. These will help you as you step from the mindset of poverty or mediocrity to success and well-being. Develop a daily practice incorporating them into your day and you will be surprised at the intuitive shifts you will begin to make.

Positive Thinking – The power of positive thinking has been articulated numerous times and some people may be tired of hearing about it. The truth, however, must be stated: Affirmative thinking comprises the most powerful guideline in order to achieve the creation of wealth in one’s life. Whatever your intellect believes equals what you are going to attain, whether positive or negative; success or failure. Therefore, it is imperative that one keep distance from thoughts relating failure. If you want to change your life you have to change your thoughts.

Acknowledge your aspirations – your dreams and goals In order for you to attain anything in life, whether it is with your own business or a particular service to your community, you must acknowledge your genuine desires and ambitions. In this process it is necessary to be particular about your aspirations. You must be precise about what goal you want to reach in life. It is also very crucial to produce a carefully designed and well-thought out action plan in order to attain your destinations in life successfully.

Knowledge is Power – Knowledge is an incredibly powerful tool toward success in life. Attempt to continually adopt fresh skills and do what it takes to learn something new each and every day. Be prepared to develop a fresh repertoire of skills in order to heighten the existing ones. Flourishing people look for knowledge at any given time in life. Become a life-long learner. Wealth Creation demands action (and more action) Resolve to take action everyday towards the actualization of your dream. Never let a day go by without having done something that moves you one step closer to your most cherished goal. Life rewards actions. What we do determines what we get. Whatever it is that you want in life you must first determine the actions that will get you there and then you must take immediate action to get there.

Some of the other important components of this process also involve cultivating gratitude and the service of others in our communities. While these deserve mention here as part of the steps involved in living the abundant life, I believe they are the outpouring of a life of wealth and well-being and deserve the space of another article.

The Secret to Attracting More Abundance

December 16, 2008 by Zimmaron

Do you have all the money you desire? Are you just making ends meet living from paycheck to paycheck?

You can have a life of abundance. It can easily come to you if you know how.

Having a job I adore, a loving relationship, and the life I desire allows me to be lead through example. It enables me to show you how to attract what you desire into your life, just as I am doing in mine.

My life wasn’t always this great. I have had a lot of hard times and experienced more than my share of tragedy and heartache. It wasn’t until after my children had grown and moved away that I would discover what many other people already knew.

If you desire abundance, you must see abundance already in your life. Sound a bit ridiculous? It really isn’t. Let me explain.

In order to attract abundance, you must first have an abundance mindset. If you change your thoughts, you can change your life.

You may be thinking that you have an abundance mindset and have been focusing on more money, landing a better job, etc. Have you been thinking about having enough money to pay your bills off or get out of debt? If that has been your focus, it’s no wonder you haven’t attracted the money you desire. I’d bet you have continued to struggle with bills and incur debt. By simply placing these two negative thoughts (bills, debt) into your focus, you have subconsciously attracted more of the same types of issues/events to you.

An abundance mindset focuses on the lifestyle you would have living with abundance. Instead of thinking about the lack, focus on having plenty of money to manage all of your needs. Focus on having more that enough money for the things that you want. Perhaps one of your desires is to be able to take a vacation. Focus on taking that vacation. Feel how wonderful it would be to do the things you desire. By thinking about taking a vacation and having more than enough money for the entire trip, you are focusing on what you truly want and developing a mindset that is in harmony with your desires.

Developing an abundance mindset may not be easy at first, but with a little practice will become your normal way of thinking. You will soon begin to see little signs of abundance coming into your life.

I suggest you take note of everything you experience, no matter how small and be appreciative of it. For example, finding a penny on the sidewalk or getting a great parking space would be two examples of abundance. Having someone treat you to lunch is another. When you begin to notice and appreciate the small things in your life, it will also help place you in a more receptive and allowing mindset. Keeping an abundance or gratitude journal is a great way of reminding yourself of all the abundance in your life.

Besides, if all of us would take just a few minutes out of our day to reflect on the nice things we have experienced, we would soon realize the abundance already present in our lives. It would brighten our outlook, raise our emotions, and allow us to be more of a magnet for attracting more of the same things to us.

Having a life coach can be extremely beneficial when it comes to learning how to attract your desires – especially if they are trained in the Law of Attraction. Even Tiger Woods has a coach. Many coaches, myself included, offer complimentary consultative sessions so that people can experience the many benefits that working with a life coach has to offer.

Why not take that next step. Discover for yourself how easy it is to change your thoughts and change your life. You won’t be disappointed.

Attract Abundance. Easily!

September 2, 2008 by Zimmaron

Have you ever believed that attracting money and other forms of abundance was difficult? Most of us have at one time or another. Here’s the problem with that viewpoint: according to the Law of Attraction, it must be true!

For years I labored under a belief that I had to work hard to make money. When I worked really hard, I had plenty of money. When I stopped working hard, the money stopped coming in. No big surprise, right?

What WAS a surprise, however, was what happened when I began changing that belief. Little by little, I began to notice that money was coming to me more easily. At first it was small amounts; $10 here and $20 there. But the more I strengthened my new belief that money comes to me easily, the amounts and frequency began to grow. Before long I had created a daily game where I would visualize prosperity flowing effortlessly into my life, and then watch it happen on a physical level shortly afterwards.

If you could see a snapshot of my life several years ago and another one from today, you’d be astounded at the difference! And YOU can create these same changes in your own life too.

Here’s a simple 3-step process for making prosperity attraction EASY:

1) Explore your beliefs about money and abundance. The tricky thing about beliefs is that they are often subconscious. You may not even realize you have limiting beliefs about abundance until you begin really examining how you feel. Take some time to ask yourself questions like these and write down your answers:

- Do I really believe that money can come to me easily?

- Why or why not?

- My biggest obstacle in attracting more money right now is…

- My relationship with money is…

- I just don’t believe that…

- I want to believe that…

Be sure not to censor your answers. Just let them fly right out! Believe me, once you start delving into these concepts you’ll gain a lot of clarity about yourself and your beliefs!

2) Begin changing your beliefs. As an example let’s say you discovered a belief that you can’t receive money except through your job, and your job doesn’t offer any chances for advancement. Obviously, such a belief will keep you locked in place financially! How would you change this belief? I’d do two things:

- First, begin affirming constantly that money can come to you in limitless ways – both expected and unexpected! Just because YOU can’t see any possibilities doesn’t mean the universe can’t. In fact, sometimes you’ll be astounded at the miracles that can happen when you believe in the possibilities.

- Second, do what you can to help the universe work on your behalf. That means creating “gateways” through which abundance can enter your life. You might apply for a better job that offers more opportunity for advancement; or start your own part-time business. You can enter contests, sweepstakes, and buy lottery tickets (do this moderately; don’t put yourself into debt thinking you’ll have a better chance of winning – if you really want to win you can do so with one ticket as easily as you can with several). If you happen to see an opportunity to receive more abundance, go for it! Sometimes the universe will send you a fantastic opportunity or give you a little nudge in a certain direction. Always pay attention to these and give them your best shot. Even if they don’t create a windfall immediately, they may lead to more opportunities later.

Ultimately there are no right or wrong ways to change your beliefs. Probably the simplest way is to keep reinforcing the opposite belief until it replaces your old belief, and take action when you can; but listen to your heart for the ways that work best for you. YOU are your own best expert! :-) Let your intution guide you and you cannot go wrong.

3) Finally, be patient with yourself. I’ve made a lot of progress over the past few years, but I still have moments where I slip back into that old thinking again! It will probably happen that way for you too. Remember that changing your beliefs is a PROCESS, not a one-time event. Give yourself some time to make that inner adjustment. When you notice that you’ve slipped back into old lack-focused thoughts, simply clear your mind and start fresh again. The more you do it, the easier it will become!
